The City of Asheville issues its own electrical permits. Buncombe County Permits & Inspections covers unincorporated areas, including Arden, plus Biltmore Forest, Weaverville and Woodfin.
Henderson County
Including Hendersonville.
Henderson County Permits & Inspections handles permits for unincorporated Henderson County and, by agreement, Hendersonville, Laurel Park, Mills River, Fletcher, Flat Rock and Saluda.
Haywood County
Including Waynesville.
The Town of Waynesville runs its own building inspections. Haywood County's Inspections Department handles electrical permits elsewhere in the county.
